Why Small Area Games?

"Every practice should contain some form of game type situations and competitive drills. Small Area Games accomplish this without doing traditional scrimmage activities. This allows more players to be active enabling you as the coach to work on individual skills and team tactics in a manner that is experienced as fun by the players.

Learning to handle the puck , and make decisions quicker in smaller areas is part of the game ... thus Reduce the Space, Increase the Pace.

Goalies

CHI does not have a formal programme, but we can offer ice time in our programmes that need goaltenders. When not in the net receiving hundreds of shots, they have the opportunity to take part in the skills being taught to the other participants. These skills include skating and puckhandling.

Please register for this in the appropriate box on the registration form. Each goaltender must provide their own equipment.
